Bruce Arians has accepted an offer to become the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter on Thursday, Jan. 17.

Arians, 60, reportedly has signed a four-year deal with a team option for a fifth year.

The Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator joined the organization for his second stint nearly a year ago on Jan. 28, 2012, after spending seven seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, four of which as the team's OC. He previously was the Colts' quarterbacks coach from 1998-2000.

After the Colts' announced head coach Chuck Pagano was diagnosed with leukemia on Oct. 1, 2012, Arians was named as interim head coach. He led the team to a 9-3 record during Pagano's absence, including a wild-card berth in the playoffs.

Arians was previously the head coach at Temple University from 1983-88, where he amassed a 21-39 record. He has also been an assistant for the Kansas City Chiefs, New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns in his coaching career.
